Many times, it is the guest who first notices a maintenance problem in a room. The eRoomSystem has the potential to be expanded and help hotel staff discover and solve problems before they cause dissatisfaction and inconvenience to guests. By linking each room to the front desk, engineering and housekeeping, the eRoomSystem allows the hotel to maintain every room more efficiently. When an in-room maintenance problem is discovered by housekeeping or engineering, the employee can enter a code on the touchpad of the eRoomSystem, immediately informing the front desk of a problem. If it is of a material nature, the front desk can hold the room until the repairs have been made. As soon as the problem is fixed, another code is entered informing the front desk that the room is available.
